The Sunset Copper Star occurrence is located on the north side of an east trending valley, approximately 1.5 kilometres north- north east of Jasper Lake.

The area is underlain by a very thick, gently dipping to flat-lying sequence of Upper Triassic submarine volcanic flows of the Karmutsen Formation. Locally minor interflow sediments occur.

Locally, quartz-epidote veins and stockworks host minor pyrite, chalcopyrite and chalcocite with malachite staining. The mineralized zone(s) trend 235 degrees and dip 55 degrees to the north west.

In 2018, Rich River Exploration Ltd. completed a program of rock, soil and silt sampling on the area as the Sunset Copper Star property. Three grab samples (32302, 32325 and 32360) yielded 2.14, 2.28 and 2.55 per cent copper with 5.53, 9.55 and 11.15 gram per tonne silver, respectively (MacIntyre, D.
